Finding a safe and affordable place to live should be easy, but we know sometimes it isn’t. The Centre County Housing Authority (CCHA) connects people with homes and apartments they can afford.
The Centre County Housing Authority maintains affordable housing options for the citizens of Centre County. Our goal is to provide a secure, clean, and comfortable living environment for all of our residents through various federal and state-run programs.
What is affordable housing?
Affordable housing isn’t just about affordable rent. Affordable housing is a term that is used to describe different programs operated by federal and local government to help people find places to live. You may have heard of Section 8 — that’s one program where the government helps you pay for rent. Another form of affordable housing is apartment buildings owned and operated by CCHA for Centre County’s elderly residents or those with disabilities.
See if affordable housing is right for you by calling the CCHA office at (814) 355-6750.
